Chicago, my kind of town

We are staying at the Tremont Chicago, with Sears Tower about...ooohhh, I'd say a block away.

We've had a very strenuous few days, making decisions like "should we go and have breakfast first and then go for a stroll" or "should we go for a stroll around the city and then find a place for breakfast?" Well, we've managed somehow this far.

Neil is declared a saint - yesterday he gave me a whole day of shopping on the magnificent mile. This included hours of Victorias Secret sales, me digging through sales perfumes, with hundereds of women just as crazy as myeslf, and him sitting on the floor in the corner quietly, with about 5 big bags of stuff and waiting. Finally, he came up to me, when I was in the middle of my shopping craze and without whining or complaining asked "Do you want to make me the happiest man in the world? Can we go now and come back here later?"

But of course we can go now AND COME BACK LATER!!!!

We decided to go to a show, of course that the only show that has tickets left on sale is called "Menopause". He didn't say much, just "Can we go to a musculine restaurant afterwards, so I can clear my system of all that femininity out?"

On the 5th, today, we have declared our anniversary. No one really knows when we started dating and neither of us really know how long we've "officially" been dating but since we had to pick a date, we decided on the fifth of the month. I personally think it's just another excuse to go to a fine restaurant and complete a night with a horse carriage ride, and that is perfectly fine with me. Last night we went to the famous Chicago deep dish "Giordano's", tonight we'll dress up and go to a Hawaiian restaurant.

mmmm.
