Imagine the difference we can make

We've been busy working with Gifted Hands Fundraising to design brochures for Ecobags that are being sold at a trade show right now. It's been such a rewarding experience.

Behind Gifted Hands are some beautiful women who sincerely care about people. One of them is here. They've already done some outstanding things and this is the newest initiative to raise money to pass on to organisations who do so much good in the world and often times are run by volunteers who have no money. Gifted Hands  have had some awesome events to raise money for such organisations.

This is one of those rare times in my life, where without the shadow of doubt I know that it is a divine appointment for me to be involved in this.

A few Sundays ago I was visiting the Worship Centre  where I heard Shane Willard speak (you can click on the "Streaming" link on the bottom of the page of the Worship Centre and listen to Shane's 3 messages). It was one of those things that spoke so deeply in my heart that still today I am feeling ripples of it. His approach to the Bible teaching is so radical because he's been mentored by a rabbi and has an eastern interpretation to a lot of the things that we, with our western mindset, don't understand when read the Bible. It is so refreshing and so interesting!

While the theme of the message was heaven, he was talking about our responsibility to use our gifts and talents to help the millions and millions of people in need who are around us. It seriously pierced my heart. That afternoon I had a photoshoot with Anita, one of the girls behind Gifted Hands for this brochure. The rest was history.

I've always felt a little bit guilty about not doing more for people in need. In some ways it feels like there are so many people in need and the need is so big that I don't know where to start. How do I, with the limited time and resources that I have, plug in and make the best use of it? I feel like this is it - this is my way to help the orphans and the widows and the women in Ethiopia who are suffering and the thousands of others who need help.

When you know in your heart that this is what God is calling you to do, there is such an enormous satisfaction. Here is to the beginning of great things!

You know, it was so amazing. Anita was just speaking about how we really needed someone to come onboard with design/website/computer experience to help us and then a couple of days later, you joined in! How good is that?! We are soooo happy, thankful and blessed. You have help GH go to another level and we are so grateful xxx
